The Benefits Of Indoor Tanning

By James C Indoor tanning has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Look in just about any shopping center these days and you can find an indoor tanning salon. Why are they so popular? Keep reading this article and learn about the benefits of indoor tanning and why you should give it a shot. The number one benefit of indoor tanning is that it is convenient. You can get the benefits of spending hours in the sun in just a few minutes. No one these days has time to spend baking in the sun. You can get the appearance of a hard earned suntan in just a couple 10 minute visits a week. You can always look like you just returned from a Caribbean vacation. Another advantage of indoor tanning is privacy. With traditional suntans you will have to go to the beach or hang out by the pool in next to nothing and sit for hours. With indoor tanning salons you get to sit in a private room and tan without the prying eyes of passer bys or neighbors. This privacy means you can even tan without a suit to prevent tan lines. Try that at the beach and you will end up getting arrested or will at least wind up with a big ticket. A third benefit of indoor tanning is that it is a good way to prevent sunburns. When you tan in a tanning booth you can carefully meter your exposure. You can start out slow and increase the time in the booth slowly. This means that you will not get a sunburn. When you tan outside it can be hard to tell when you get too much sunlight. As you can see there are many benefits of tanning indoors. If they sound good you should find a local tanning salon and give it a try. You won’t regret it. Find sunless tanning salons at the author’s website on indoor tanning. Toxic Employers: You’ve Got to Know When to Run

By Rick Dacri The buzzing of the alarm clock rudely awakens you to the reality of another Monday morning and the beginning of another work week. As the ugly thoughts of what you face at work race through your mind, you think to yourself how you dontno cant, go into work again. You wonder whether you should call in sick, but realize that you cant do that again as youve already done it too many times. You have to go in, but you cant face that place again. What would cause someone to feel this way? What could be so bad? Is it because he is irresponsible? After all, his employer pays him for his services. Is she just plain lazy or disloyal? Shouldnt an employer be able to expect that their employees will come in when they are scheduled? Or could it be something elsecould it be something far worse? Could it be that this employee has a toxic, spirit sapping job? This scenario plays out so very often, employees not wanting to go to work and employers frustrated by individuals they cannot count on to show upor worse, those who are physically present but whose performance indicates they are somewhere else. Why does this happen and who is to blame? Dissatisfied employees need to carefully look at their job and ask themselves why they are unhappy at their employ. Full time employees spend well over 2000 hours a year at workoften more time then they spend with family and friends. If theyre in an environment that makes them feel lousy, theyve got to make some hard decisions: can I make things better or should I get out. As Kenny Rogers said in his song the Gambler: You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away. If you like the company, but youre in the wrong job, ask for a transfer. If your supervisor is a jerk, see if you can move to a different department. But, if it is absolutely a bad situation throughoutthen get out! Bad jobs, toxic jobs never get better. The longer youre there, the worse it gets. Your self esteem gets damaged and eventually your performance suffers so badly that the employer often fires you anyway. It is in your best interest and in your employers best interest for you to leave. In my coaching practice I have worked with many employees who tell such stories. The first is the employee who tells me they knew on their first day of work that they made a mistake. What they signed on for was different than what they found when they walked in the door. They kept believing it would change, but it didnt. Unfortunately, sometimes it took years of unhappiness before either they or the employer pulled the plugand even when they were fired, they all said how relieved they were. In the second scenario, the employee started off happy, but over the years things changed and they didnt or couldnt. In either case, like the first scenario, it was apparent that it was time to go, but they were unable to make the move, often depending on the employer to show them the door. For the lucky onesthe ones who realized the situation was bad and they couldnt change it, they got out quickly and moved on with their lives. They didnt tie their identity and self-esteem to their jobsand they also realized it was just a job. So how do you know when your job is toxic? How do you know when it is not getting better and it is time to go? Do you have to wait to hear that sucking sound that may well be your self-confidence going down the drain? Toxic jobs do not all look alike. All will, however, like a bad relationship, destroy your self-esteem, will bring you down, and will make your life miserable. Some red flags to watch for when trying to determine if your place of employ is toxic: 1. Customers and employees are second to everything else 2. Employees and customers are always complaining 3. Employees bail out faster than management can hire replacements 4. Youre always fighting fires, never catching up, and youre always finding yourself behind the eight ball 5. Management is inconsistent in the way they manage or they dont manage at all 6. Supervisors are poorly trained and arbitrary in their style 7. Employees are not treated with any respect and decency Employers who run toxic organizations often blame their customers, vendors and employees for their woeful ways. Employees should not have to take it. If the problem cant be corrected, it is time to change. As the Gambler concludes: Youve got to know when to run. How To Make Popcorn

By Elizabeth Morgan Popcorn is made from a type of flint corn. Kernels of this corn have a hard outer shell and are starchy inside. Dry roasting these kernels in a specific way makes them pop up. Kernels are normally dried to a moisture level of approximately 13.5%, which is the most favorable moisture content for popping up this corn. Popcorn is obtained by popping these kernels and is a favorite snack for many people. Traditionally, people used to toast corn over an open fire until the corn began to pop. Another traditional method of popping corn is to put the loose kernels into an electric device that heats the kernels and makes them pop. People can also melt butter and pour it over the popcorn. Many people also make popcorn in the microwave, as it proves to be very convenient. There are many machines available currently, for people to choose from to make popcorn. These machines help to make popping corn an easy task. Before people plan to buy an electric popper, it is always important to find out whether the machine is automatic or non-automatic. An automatic popper usually contains a thermostat that automatically shuts off the heating element at the end of popping cycle. This is very helpful for people who are making popcorn for the first time. With a non-automatic popper, people have to be more careful to prevent burning the popcorn once it is completely popped. It is also very important to disconnect the poppers promptly after use. There are different ways of making popcorn, and for more information people can always refer to online sites that give detailed information on different ways to pop corn at home. Popcorn provides detailed information on Popcorn, Popped Popcorn, Popcorn Machines, Popcorn Factories and more. Popcorn is affiliated with How Many Carbs In Pizza. 10 Best Ways To Think Thin and Lose Weight Effectively

By Noraini Maskuri Why do so many of us fail or give up our efforts to lose weight? The reason is that we pay too little attention to our emotions and what drive us to eat unnecessarily. If you are able to get a grip on these emotions, you have a better chance of success and losing weight and keeping it off. Here’s a motivation checklist: 1. Commit As with every goal in life, make a commitment to lose weight that no matter what happens, rain or shine, you are committed to make that trip to the gym. Adopt that “I can do it” attitude and remember to draw on these successes when the next time you are faced with yet another challenge. 2. Give yourself 10 good reasons List 10 things that drive your weight-loss desires, for example , “lower my cholesterol level” or “increase my energy level” or “fit into that new bikini”. Keep the list handy , either in your purse, or at your desk where you cannot miss it. When you suffer a dip in motivation, looking at the list will guarantee a recharge. 3. Downsize the less than healthy foods Who says you cannot enjoy your life while dieting. The key is to eat in moderation all the things that you love. Eat with awareness. If you must have your regular fix of icecream or chocolate, plan your eating habit. Establish how much you consume in a week, cut it by half or a third, either through size or frequency. 5. Practise never-miss-a-meal habit It is a fact and reality that whenever we skip meals and become extremely hungry and sluggish, we tend to grab any food to satisfy hunger for example potato chips or some snacks. Or we could gobble down in larger volume for the next meal. So the lesson here is to ensure you never miss your healthy meals. Imagine the energy that you get when you practise healthy eating habits. 6. Share your gameplan Set up your support system and share with those whom you think can encourage you in your weightloss effort. Decide what you want friends and family to do to encourage you. For example, remind them to be mindful of what or what not to offer you in terms of food. 7. Stop thinking little things have no calories sometimes we tend to forget little bites like a handful of potato chips, sweets, jelly beans – are too small to have any calories. They all add up. Think of how little satisfaction you get from these little bites and how they negate your effort to lose weight. Over time, you will adjust your eating pattern and will no longer be tempted by these little distractions. 8. Post a note strategically Put signs in your kitchen or refrigerator to remind you, “what you are looking for is not here”. Sometimes we have a tendency to overcome any emotional upset by eating. Instead go out and exercise and release the emotional baggage. That is guaranteed to make you feel better than eating anyway. 9. Recharge your motivation battery There will be down times when you are in no mood to exercise or cooking healthy food. You might think it is easier to just order pizza. It is time you revist your goals and remind yourself you got this far, so why blow it now. Just get up and run. 10. Celebrate the smallest of victories Focus on your successes, no matter how small they are. Write them down and put the list where you can see them to motivate you. You will feel gratified and happy that you have made achievements and will encourage you to increase your successes. Nora M is an advertising veteran and now runs her own net business. How to Size an Emerging Market

By Dave Lavinsky In developing their business plans, companies of all sizes face the challenge of determining the size of their markets. To begin, companies must present the size of their relevant market in their plans. The relevant market equals the company’s sales if it were to capture 100% of its specific niche of the market. Conversely, stating that you were competing in the $1 trillion U.S. healthcare market, for example, is a telltale sign of a poorly reasoned business plan, as there is no company that could reap $1 trillion in healthcare sales. Defining and communicating a credible relevant market size is far more powerful than presenting generic industry figures. The challenge that many firms face is their inability to size their relevant markets, particularly if they are competing in new or rapidly evolving markets. On one hand, the fact that the markets are new or evolving is the reason why there may be a large opportunity to establish them and become the market leader. Conversely, investors, shareholders and senior management are often skeptical to invest resources because, since the markets do not yet exist, the markets may be too small, or not really exist at all. In developing over 200 business plans for emerging ventures, venture capital firms, SMEs and Fortune 500 spinouts, Growthink has encountered the challenge of sizing emerging markets numerous times and has developed a proprietary methodology to solve the problem. To begin, it is critical to understand why traditional market sizing methodologies are ill-equipped to size emerging markets. To illustrate, if a research firm were to use traditional methods to size a mature market such as the coffee market in the United States, it would consider demographic trends (e.g., aging baby boomers), psychographic trends (e.g., increased health consciousness), past sales trends and consumption rates, price movements, competitor brand shares and new product development, and channels/retailers among others. However, conducting such an analysis for emerging markets presents a challenge as several of these factors (e.g., past sales, demographics of the customer when there are no current customers) dont exist because the markets are presently untapped. The methodology required to size these new markets requires two approaches. Each approach will yield a different approximation of the potential market size, and often the figures will work together to provide a solid foundation for the markets potential. Growthink calls the first approach peeling back the onion. In this approach, we start with the generic market (e.g., the coffee market) that that company is trying to penetrate, and remove pieces of that market that it will not target. For instance, if the company created an ultra high-speed coffee maker that retailed for $600, it would initially reduce the market size by factors such as retail channels (e.g., mass marketers would not carry the product), demographic factors (lower income customers would not purchase the product), etc. By peeling back the generic market, you eventually will be left with only the relevant portion of it. The second methodology requires assessing the market from several angles to approximate the potential market share, answering questions including: Competitors: who is competing for the customer that you will be serving; what is in their product pipeline; once you release a product/service, how long will it take them to enter the market, who else may enter the market, etc. Customers: what are the demographics and psychographics of the customers you will be targeting; what products are they currently using to fulfill a similar need (substitute products); how are they currently purchasing these products; what is their degree of loyalty to current providers, etc. Market factors: what other factors exist that will influence the market size government regulations; market consolidation in related markets, price changes for raw materials, etc. Case Studies: what other markets have experience similar transformations and what were the customer adoption rates in those markets, etc. While these methodologies are often more painstaking than traditional market research techniques, they can be the difference in determining whether your company has the next iPod or the next Edsel. As President of Growthink Business Plans, Dave Lavinsky has helped the company become one of the premier business planning firms. Since its inception, Growthink has developed over 200 business plans. Growthink clients have collectively raised over $750 million in financing, launched numerous new product and service lines and gained competitive advantage and market share. Is Your Fat Burning Exercise Routine Keeping You Fat & Unhealthy?

By Rob Poulos The majority of exercisers today still rely on long duration moderate paced aerobic exercise as their primary routine to burn fat fast. But recent studies have shown that this is a big, I mean big mistake. In fact, you could say that the whole aerobics explosion of a few decades past was one of the biggest mistakes in the health and fitness industry. Why? There are several reasons, but Ill focus on the two main issues here. When you exercise at a moderate pace for extended periods of time (as in the typically recommended percent of your target heart rate), your body is burning fat during the exercise. While this may sound good, its actually bad news. This sends a signal to your body to keep a certain amount of stored fat available for your next workout. Youre essentially telling it that it needs fat available to burn, because youll be doing this exercise again. So while we may be burning some calories during this exercise, after the exercise is over, our body begins storing up some fat for the next workout. Obviously not what were looking for in terms of maximum ability to burn fat fast. The other big concern with moderately paced aerobic exercise performed several times per week is that it trains your body (heart, lungs, muscles, etc.) to become efficient. Again, this may sound good, but what is actually happening is bad for long term health. You are working only within your existing aerobic limits, without improving your aerobic capacity. This is important because your aerobic capacity is what determines how your body responds in times of physical, emotional, and mental stress. If you reduce your capacity for work, as you do in this type of exercise, youre reducing your long term health, no to mention a poor chance of burning fat. The good news is, you can reverse these effects by instead focusing your workouts on high intensity resistance training, with workouts that last 15-20 minutes on average, and can only be performed 2-3 times per week. These workouts will burn carbohydrates instead of fat during the workout, and will cause your body to use its fat stores to replenish the burned carbs over the next 24 hours, after the workout is done! This type of work will also increase your reserve capacity and thus your ability to handle all types of stress, leading to lasting health and fitness…and 24/7 fat burning. Nice! But the exercise must be performed correctly to be effective, and that means using sufficient intensity, and keeping your rest periods between exercises and sets down to 60 seconds or less. The students of my Fat Burning Furnace method know this, and are reaping the benefits. When you think about how little time you have to spend compared to the typically recommended methods to get these fat burning and health creating results, its almost magical. Learn how to ignite your own fat burning furnace without cardio or fad diets and grab your copy of Rob’s fat loss and fitness gifts here: Burn Body Fat Fast Rob Poulos is a fitness enthusiast, fat loss expert, and the founder and CEO of Zero to Hero Fitness. The Koran Commands Endless 911′s

By Karen Fish The date today is September 11, 2006, the 5th anniversary of 911. Five years have gone by since 911 and the American people are still wandering blindly around in the circles of smoke and debris at ground zero unable to understand the reason for 911. For 5 years the American people have been told that Islam is a religion of peace and that it is just a fringe group of radical Muslims who have misinterpreted the Koran who are chanting Death to America and to Israel across the 1.3 Billion people Muslim world. Jesus called the leaders of his day blind guides leading the people into the fire. (Matthew 23). Your leaders know exactly what caused 911, Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon but for some reason they do not want to tell you. They do not trust the American people to know the truth. They believe that is in the best interests of the American people to be kept in the dark. Jesus said, I am the truth and the life and the way. You are about to hear the truth that every Muslim man, woman and child is well aware of that has been hidden from you for the past 5 years because your leaders do not trust you to know the truth. Once you see the truth then 911, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Iran will become clear once and for all. The Holy Scripture of Islam is the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Koran. When the Prophet Muhammad spoke of the people of the scriptures, the books, he was referring to the Jews (The Old Testament) and the Christians (The Old Testament and the New Testament). The Koran Chapter Sura 9:29-30 states clearly, Make War on the Christians and the Jews…Do battle with them! Kill those who join other Gods with Allah wherever ye shall find them, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush: but if they shall convert to Islam then let them go their way. (Koran Sura 9:5) For this you shall be rewarded with eternal paradise in Heaven with Allah, crystal clear streams, 72 virgins, wine without side effects, and the Garden of Eden forever. (Koran Sura 56). The Koran clearly and expressly commands all of the 1.3 billion Muslim people to engage in Holy War, Jihad, to conquer the world for Islam, for Allah. (Everyman, The Koran, Translated from the Arabic by J.M. Rodwell, J.M. Dent, Orion Publishing Group, London, 1994). Today, 09/11/2006 Osama bin Ladens Al Qaedas deputy Ayman al-Zawahri released another Al Qaeda propaganda videotape. It said, “Among the devout group which responded to the order of Allah and the order of his messenger (the Prophet Muhammad) were the heroes of Sept. 11, who wrote with the ink of their blood the greatest pages of modern history,” he said, referring to the hijackers who flew the planes into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. The Muslim God, Allah dictated the Koran to the angel Gabriel who dictated the Koran to the Prophet Muhammad 1400 years ago. It is the plan of the Muslim world to use 2/3 of the worlds oil, in the Persian Gulf, to build and purchase thousands of nuclear weapons with which to conquer the world for God, Allah, Islam on these express orders of God, Allah in the Koran. The Muslim people plan to choke off the American oil supply and choke off the American economy and nuke America into the ground. 911 was the first shot to hit America on American soil. The Taliban, Iran, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, Shiite and Sunni Iraq are all part of the world wide Muslim Holy War for world domination by Islam being carried out right now on the direct orders of the Muslim God, Allah, in the Koran. Forewarned is forearmed and as long as your leaders keep you in the dark about what is actually going on you dont stand a chance. Fortunately in the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Koran our God of Mount Sinai aka God the Father, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit, Allah, Elohim, Adonai, who handed the 10 commandments to Moses, gave us all a map to world peace and out of this mess through every single Biblical Prophet of Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Go take a look at our Gods map out of this mess at The Temple of Love – The World Peace Religion while there still is time. Karen Fish is a writer currently living in Los Angeles California. How To Get Your Dream Job

By Will Turner In their book, Get What You Deserve! How to Guerilla Market Yourself, Levinson and Godin outline six steps to get the job you really want. Position yourself. Write a positioning statement about yourself. Identify who you are and where you’re going. Identify your customers. Identify the companies you want to work for and that honestly have what you are looking for. Don’t go searching out non-profits as potential employers if you want unlimited earning potential. Similarly, don’t focus on smaller companies if you want the prestige of working for a Fortune 500 company. Prepare a non-resume and a plan. Prepare a guerilla non-resume, a word-of-mouth campaign and a marketing strategy that reflects your positioning and gets you an interview. A non-resume is no resume. Instead, use an effective cover letter that highlights how you can benefit the company. In addition, use powerful reference letters that specifically support your positioning statement Give them a reason to hire you. Impress those that interview you so much that they’ll do anything to hire you. Know their business and how you can contribute. Show them the benefits of making you their hiring choice. Maintain your momentum. Follow-through with a post-interview marketing campaign that maintains your momentum. Don’t stop once you’ve landed the job. Make sure that your actions live up to the expectations and then surpass them. Follow-up on everything you promised.
